4.00 Musselburgh – Archerfield Cup
The Race Of The Day is based on the most valuable race from Today’s Horse Racing Meetings and we deliver Horse Racing Tips from each blogger to see if we can come to an agreement on a selection. The statistics for today’s Race Of The Day can be seen below, apart from Overall, Month and Day all data supplied is based on either flat or jumps racing depending on the daily race, all odds are based on SP.
We have a new selection process for our bloggers, instead of relying on someone to add the selections we now have an automatic process in which when a blogger has a selection he/she can now add it to the post themselves which means you get the selections as they are ready, this means that the post is now put up without any selections in order for it to be available for the bloggers to add them.
Also because there is not always someone around to edit the post with the selections we will now leave this up to you to work out, it is simple enough, when the stated closing time has passed then you can decided whether there is a bet or not, each runner will have the number of selections next to it and for each pick it is clear then that is a 1pt stake, so a runner with 3 picks and then two runners with 1 pick apiece would be a 2pt win, if there is not outright pick then it is deemed a No Bet. We advised all bets of £10 per tip clear, so a 2pt win would be a £20 win.

Zipster – Alex My Boy (1 Picks)
Mark Johnston and Joe Fanning teamed up with Party Line last year and were successful and this year they team up with Alex My Boy who has a very good chance of winning the race for the pair once again. A winner of a class 2 handicap at Haydock last time out off 87 and comes here today off 95 so an 8lb rise for that win which was impressive and he should that he has plenty of stamina and could go further than this trip, the ground is not a concern and I am pretty sure he is capable of winning off this mark especially with his 3yo allowance against this field here today.
Gecko – Saved By The Bell (1 Picks)
Alex My Boy looks to be popular but Saved By The Bell can take this – in really good form with a string of recent wins
Mostly raced over a mile and a half but has shown good speed at the end of races and has been finishing strongly so this extra 2 may really play to strengths
Ground is fine too so every chance of another victory here; could have done better last time with a clear run and may appreciate this field – should be a bit shorter in price for me
Ramsey Deadman – Dark Ruler (1 Picks)
Dark Ruler has not been out of the places in his last 6 outings on turf and it is his consistency that makes him the pick for this big race at Mussleburgh – His last win came at Doncaster when he showed heart to keep on and take a prize over ten furlong, and the last twice when seen at 12, he has kept on without getting to the winner. Another step in trip will really highlight his stamina and he is taken to outstay the field at a decent looking price
