npower Championship Burnley v Hull City
Not the most inspirational card for a Monday nights football but the game at Turf Moor should be reasonably competitive.
Burnley don’t really have a lot to play for now, they are clear of the drop and too far off the play off places, however I am sure they will want to pick up as many points as possible before the end of the season.
Steve Bruce’s Hull City certainly have plenty to play for and can still make the 2nd automatic promotion spot as they are just a point behind Watford and Crystal Palace so a win here tonight will see them go 2nd.
If this game was at Hull then I would not be getting involved as a home win would be certainly on the cards.
I think Hull might find this a bit tough though and their recent away form has been poor, losing their last 3.
Burnley are just underdogs here priced at 2.88, Hull are priced at 2.72 and the draw is 3.45
The stats point towards under 2.5 goals as do the current odds of 1.86, the Spread Companies have 2.45 – 2.65.
I am playing an old favourite trade here which revolves around the 1-1 score line.
Back 1-1 for 3 points, 2-1 for 2 points, 1-2 for 2 points and try to get 2 points on 2-2 in play when the odds hit 20+
Trading around these score lines gives you plenty of chances to get some green and also gives you plenty of chances to get out of jail relatively unscathed even if things go slightly wrong.
