At half-time on Wednesday it looked like we were in for a really fantastic week with 6 of our sides winning (Man City had already won for us) and just one losing. However, Middlesbrough couldn’t keep their two goal lead and things got worse from there and just two of those six teams kept their lead intact whilst Chelsea convincingly put Southampton to the sword in the second half. We ended with just four winning bets on the day but two were 4pt and two were 3pt so we ended with a 1.26 point loss.
Thursday was a much better day though up in Scotland with three of our four bets winning and I was fairly aggrieved that Berwick couldn’t taken of a Montrose red card to make it a clean sweep. Still a 4.94 point profit means once again we are up on the round.
Not much on for us this weekend with the FA Cup third round being played and I keep this blog well away from cup competitions that include reserve and weakened sides. In fact we just have two games on Sunday that qualify and we’ll take both Celtic and Aberdeen to land away wins against St Mirren and Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premier League.
Statistics (to 2nd January)
|St Mirren v Celtic||Celtic||4pts||1.30||Won||+1.20|
|Kilmarnock v Aberdeen||Aberdeen||4pts||2.00||Won||+4.00|
