Premier League Table >

EPL 1 Dec

Leicester hit the bottom, Hull and WBA are struggling while only 3 teams have won 2 games on the bounce…

Almost break-even at the weekend and still just off making a profit for the season – it will come!

Burnley v Newcastle > Newcastle have had Under 2.5 in 6 of their last 7 and have been in great form whilst the hosts have won 2 and drawn 1 recently so are going well – could be a 1-1 draw here for me as Newcastle’s form tails off a bit perhaps and the home side are full of confidence for a change

Leicester v Liverpool > Leicester are struggling to score whilst Liverpool are just struggling pure and simple – bit of pressure on them for a result here after 3 recent away defeats (Palace, West Ham and Newcastle) but the Foxes are no pushover at home and may surprise a few here with a 2-2 draw – can see a weird result in this one, either a comfy big away win or a sneaky home win – an avoid for betting

Man Utd v Stoke > Picked Utd to win 3-0 home to Hull and this should follow suit… perhaps 2-0 as Stoke will no doubt fight hard and defend resolutely but Utd are clicking into gear now quite nicely and will expect to win again here

Swansea v QPR > QPR still can’t do a thing on their travels and Swansea will be keen to pick up a win after falling away a bit recently – Rangers have lost 10 of 11 away in the PL while Swansea have lost 2 of their last 9 at home (both to Saints 1-0 strangely)

Palace v Villa > Palace have been flattering to deceive a bit with some good results and some tame ones, they need more wins though – Villa have turned the corner a bit and will be keen to pick up a long awaited win; another game that is really hard to call and worth avoiding from a betting perspective. I suspect a 1-1 draw

WBA v West Ham > West Brom have fallen away in recent weeks after some promising results while the Hammers have enjoyed a decent run – I fancy being a bit contrary here and going for the home win, maybe 2-1 as I think this will be a small upset. West Ham have won just 2 of their last 9 away and while WBA haven’t won in 4 at home, they have faced some decent sides

Arsenal v Southampton > Saints suffered a rare poor result home to City while Arsenal will look to bounce back from a very rare home defeat recently by Utd – I expect Southampton to nick a lead but then Arsenal to come back and draw level, and probably pinch a 2-1 near the end! maybe BTTS is worth taking here

Chelsea v Spurs > routine home win – I have watched Spurs suffer in this fixture for way too long now to expect anything other than another defeat! if Chelsea take this seriously they could romp to another 4-0 win like last year, or even rattle in 5 or 6. Spurs have actually won 6 of 7 in all comps (surprising that) but if you discount the cup/europa, their league form is not so good although they have been ok on their travels – they may well park the old bus and could well start with the same line-up as the weekend which would be rare but this looks to me like a 2-0 win or better for the hosts, even without the suspended Costa

Everton v Hull > Hull are getting beaten too easily currently and Everton should bounce back after tailing off against Spurs – they will enjoy more space here probably and can nick this maybe 2-1 or so as Hull will battle but just lack the class to compete against the top sides generally

Sunderland v City > Sunderland have battled well and held Chelsea at the weekend but now face a City side who seem to be getting it back on track – should be a routine 2-0 away win this one for me as City step their form up

Advised Bets >

Chelsea -1 AH @, win to nil @ > awaiting odds

Arsenal Southampton BTTS @ 1.9

  1. got chelsea win to nil at 2.2 and backed them -1.5AH at 2.25 on BF in the end
some good results with the burnley draw, chelsea to nil, etc

6/8 correct and +4.83pts LSP profit this week.. continues the recent good run

  2. After 11 weeks, we have turned the corner and got back into profit! Currently +4.24pts LSP for the season

Got off to a bad start by making bets in week 1 which is always risky, but have dragged it back with almost +18pts in the last 4 weeks
