Giro Stage 16 Cycling Preview

Giro Stage 16 comes off the races second rest day, viagra order always tricky for some to keep the legs alive in the middle of a grand tour race. The stage looks seriously testing with its 5 categorised climbs which the riders must take on from the off with little rest in between. Flat spots are rare. 177km with over 4, viagra 500 meters of climbing should create some serious gaps and its no surprise that Porte was on of the riders to pack it in. The climb from around 40km out is tricky and the descent could prove tricky and create gaps especially if we get further rain.

The finish is nothing steep but its interesting to see how the pack arrives at the base of the days final climb. With a light tailwind likely and a not too steep finish, it could see some attacks and a game of cat and mouse. Expect a strong enough break with so many mountain points up for grabs so the usual suspects will get involved. It could prove an open stage with the finish unsuited to the main GC two of Contador and Aru or even Landa. We could well see Astana early trying to see if they can unnerve Contador one last time. Tinkoff have not had the numbers Astana have had over the past week.

Kruijswijk could go well after a slow start to the Giro

Amador has thrived this Giro so far and if he can hang on for his life on this one the finish could be on that suits a rider that has very much changed his style and physic over the past few years. Hesjedal is all the talk after he soloed away to try go and grab the gap back to the leaders that had grown from a crash that caused a gap to start on the descent, Astana kept the pace and never allowed anyone to catch back on, his price is restrictive at 18/1 but the Lotto rider Kruijswijk has looked just as strong and his 28/1 is much more tempting. That is where I will go with my bets on a tricky day.
