0

So last week we got a close but no cigar 6th in Australia and a difficult US event left us empty handed. More picks this week and don’t forget to subscribe so you don’t miss any of the blogs on SBB.

CIMB Classic

Its 4th season, but its first as a full PGA event and as such the winner will be rewarded with a place at the masters. A shortish par 72 is their to be attacked if avoiding the water.

Bill Haas 33/1 boylesports- Coming over to play this PGA tour event in Asia, done well here before. Has numerous PGA tour wins the past 3 years.

Robert Castro 50/1 888sport –  In decent order currently and one who would be looking for a way to get into the masters after taking 4 weeks off.

Boo Weekley 125/1 various – A big price for someone with wins to his name and good iron play could well be rewarded.

Billy Horschel 40/1 various- Has been on many peoples lips in the last while. Missed cut just the blimp on a good recent record. Course should play to his strengths.

BMW Masters

With Dubai in a months time the final series leading to that starts her in Shanghai. As such the field is smaller bar a few invites so each way presents much value in this sort of event.  The course is a long par 72 so big hitters will gain something of an edge. Good form on the desert swing could prove a guide for this.

Peter Uihlein 35/ various-  In very good order of late and the course will play to his strength.

Joost Luiten 35/1 various – Still in good order after 2 good recent wins on the tour. Likes the wind too and previous form in Asia is good guide.

Ian Poulter 25/1 various– talking the talk for this week.  Slow start last year but still came 4th, positive signs that he really likes this course and a solid wind player.

Jamie Donaldson 35/1 bet365  – Let himself down on Sunday last time but good signs for him. Won in Abu Dhabi this year also.

Brett Rumford 60/1 various– Good show in Oz last week and won two in row previously in Asia.
