Horse Racing: Friday 2nd December – Aidenldrebin Selection

3.50 ExeterPARIS BOUND (nap)

The selection is a son of Champs Elysees who is a a half brother to very smart 6-10f winner (including at Group 1 level) Side Glance, Group 3/Listed-placed 8.5-14f winner Rawaki, 7f-1m winner Advertise, 12f-2m Flat/very useful 2m-3m hurdle (including at Grade 3 level) winner Taglietelle and 10-14.5f Flat/2m hurdle winner Spectator, out of a 7f 3yo winner. This gelding is trained by Andrew Balding and makes obvious appeal on pedigree, being a half brother to connections’ high-class miler Side Glance and also the very useful Rawaki, whilst another relation is the very useful hurdler Taglietelle. He is quite clearly bred to be suited by this sort of scenario, unlike one or two others in the field, and he hails from a good Flat stable that does have the occasional winner in this sphere including in this very race (with a newcomer) back in 2011; absolutely no surprise to see this son of Champs Elysees follow suit.

About Author

Have been interested in horse racing since 2000, particularly the breeding side of things. Naturally, I enjoy picking apart maiden races given my love of pedigrees, but I am also at home with handicaps and Group races. Spotting potential early is very rewarding, as is picking up on a handicap project from an early stage, with my most satisfying success stories in recent years being Pere Blanc, More Of That, Turtle Watch and Arab Dawn.
