Horse Racing: Friday 30th March – Aidenldrebin Selection

4.25 NewcastleCOMETE (nap)

The selection is a daughter of Camacho who is closely related to useful 5-6f winner Grandad’s World (by Kodiac) and a half sister to fairly useful 5-6f winner Gin In The Inn and dual 6f winner Abiento, out of an 2m hurdle winning half sister to 6f 2yo AW Group 3 winner/Cheveley Park Stakes runner-up Dhanyata, very useful 5-6f winner Guinea Hunter, dual 5f 2yo winner Hammer And Sickle and the dam of French 5f Listed winner Riskit Fora Biskit and Group 2-placed dual 6f 2yo winner Crown Prosecutor. This filly is trained by Archie Watson and fetched €22,000 as a yearling at auction, very much appealing as an early sort on pedigree, her three-parts brother successful on debut over 5f in April of his juvenile campaign, whilst she is a half sister to another first-time-out 2yo winner over this trip and out of a half sister to some smart two-year-old performers. She is quite clearly bred to make an immediate impact over the minimum distance, and her handler has already shown that he can ready one to strike at the first time of asking; no surprise whatsoever to see this daughter of Camacho make a winning start to her career here.

About Author

Have been interested in horse racing since 2000, particularly the breeding side of things. Naturally, I enjoy picking apart maiden races given my love of pedigrees, but I am also at home with handicaps and Group races. Spotting potential early is very rewarding, as is picking up on a handicap project from an early stage, with my most satisfying success stories in recent years being Pere Blanc, More Of That, Turtle Watch and Arab Dawn.
