Horse Racing: Friday 4th November – Aidenldrebin Selection

4.15 WarwickODELLO (nap)

The selection is a daughter of King’s Theatre who is the first foal of an unraced half sister to dual bumper (including on debut)/smart 2m-2m 5f hurdle (including twice at Listed level)/2m 4f chase winner Banjaxed Girl (by King’s Theatre), bumper (debut)/Listed-placed 2m 5f hurdle winner La Marianne, bumper/useful dual 2m hurdle/2m-2m 4f chase winner Mountain King, useful dual 3m chase winner Gorsky Island and bumper (debut)/dual 2m 4f hurdle winner Molo out of a French 12/14f Listed winner, family of smart racemare/producer Marello. This mare is trained by Warren Greatrex and makes any amount of appeal on pedigree, her unraced dam a half sister to four bumper winners (three on debut), most notably the subsequently smart hurdler Banjaxed Girl (by the same sire) who won the 2009 version of this race. She comes from a stable with an excellent record in this sphere (2-5 in bumpers at this venue in recent seasons), and it can have its newcomers ready to strike more often than not; it wouldn’t at all surprise to see this well-related daughter of King’s Theatre off the mark at the first time of asking.

About Author

Have been interested in horse racing since 2000, particularly the breeding side of things. Naturally, I enjoy picking apart maiden races given my love of pedigrees, but I am also at home with handicaps and Group races. Spotting potential early is very rewarding, as is picking up on a handicap project from an early stage, with my most satisfying success stories in recent years being Pere Blanc, More Of That, Turtle Watch and Arab Dawn.
