Horse Racing: Tuesday 8th November – Aidenldrebin Selection

3.55 HuntingdonSCOTTSDALE (nap)

The selection is a son of Cape Cross who is a half brother to very useful 10-12f winner Eagles Peak, sales triple 12f winner Grandiloquent, visit this site 11f 3yo debut winner Sight Unseen and 12f 3yo debut winner Critical Acclaim, out of a high-class 7-12f winner (including at Group 2/3 level) who was a half sister to very smart 6-9f winner (including twice at Group 1 level) Observatory, useful 8-12f winner Terrestrial and to the dams of 12f Group 3 winner Rebel Soldier and 12f Listed winner Mount Logan. This gelding is trained by Brian Ellison and was picked up from Juddmonte for 15,000gns earlier in the year, looking the part on pedigree as a half brother to four winners including three debut scorers at middle distances as three-year-olds, whilst the dam was a high-class half sister to Queen Elizabeth II Stakes winner Observatory. He is very much bred to thrive under these set of circumstances, and his family contains a plethora of first-time-out winners; absolutely no surprise to see this son of Cape Cross off the mark at the first time of asking here.

About Author

Have been interested in horse racing since 2000, particularly the breeding side of things. Naturally, I enjoy picking apart maiden races given my love of pedigrees, but I am also at home with handicaps and Group races. Spotting potential early is very rewarding, as is picking up on a handicap project from an early stage, with my most satisfying success stories in recent years being Pere Blanc, More Of That, Turtle Watch and Arab Dawn.
