Madeira Island Open Golf Picks Tips
At last the European Tour is back on actual European soil and the Race to Dubai starts to get into full swing. Its a short par 72 playing just over 6800 yards and offers a good chance for a lesser Tour player to secure a big prize. Its not any easy course with plenty tricks and a wind to challenge players and defend the course. Like the co sanctions events we see in Russia and Spain before their is no live coverage most likely due to cost benefit analysis.
Find your greens be it with length off the tee or accuracy and you will do well on the pretty slow greens which challenge the putting skills as many will leave some short this week.
A short but sweet overview of a limited event for me with the lack of coverage and the poor field. Needless to say no 6 places on offer here.
Madeira Island Open Picks:
John Hahn 55/1 boylesports – An American trying his chance on the European tour makes his debut in this event. He has shown a liking for a coastal windy course this season so maybe this can suit.
Kevin Phelan 66/1 betvictor – Has a 6th in a much stronger field already this season. Has made it here via qualifying school so showed his talents on that stage as he adapts to the pro ranks.
Callum Shinkwin 66/1 paddy power – Of interest from his amateur win over the superb amateur Fitzpatrick who has made a name for himself. Fairly long off the tee and a nice hitter of the ball.
So that is 3 for this European Tour event
