The Ducks were the first selection yesterday and they went on to an overtime success (3-2) over the Coyotes which left it all down to the Oilers to complete the double, health they got off to a flyer and were leading 2-0 after the first period but lost he second period 2-0 and then 1-1 in the third made it 3-3! A scoreless overtime meant it went to penalties and the Flyers came out on top so the bet was unsuccessful.

*NHL Picks Sunday 29th December – Overtime/Pen wins in brackets

Washington Capitals at Buffalo Sabres
22:00 (GMT – Sunday)

The Sabres have picked up a bit of form on home ice, after going eight with just two wins they have now notched up five victories in their last seven games on home ice and there overall record shouts home advantage wins, illness in their last nine games the side with home advantage has gone on to win eight of those.

The visiting team The Capitals have done decent on the road, they have picked up three wins from their five games on the road this month and overall have picked up seven wins this month which is decent going.

From the last seven head-2-head matches in Buffalo the home side has gone on to win four of those games which includes two of the last three. Tight looking game but home ice advantage can result in a win for the Sabres.

New York Islanders at Minnesota Wild
01:00 (GMT – Monday)

Another potential tight looking matchup, The Wild have been in very good form on home ice with just three defeats in their last fifteen matches which includes a four match winning streak as they come into this game, coming off the back of four games on the road and having lost all four of those they will be looking to get back on track in this one.

After going on a losing streak of ten games on the road the Islanders have now picked up three wins in their last four games and shutout the Red Wings in their last road game, still not in the greatest of form though with just three wins in their last ten matches.

Nine of the fourteen games in which these two have met the win has gone to the side with home ice advantage and when the Wild are at home they have won five of the seven games and can continue their good home form with another win here.

A very tough round of matches, there is not one team that stands out with all the matches looking set to be tight affairs but I am going with a Sabres and Wild double which Bet365 offer 3.02.

About Author

I have been in the betting game for getting on 10 years now, I was a late comer in the betting scene, never really showed much interest in the first 20 years of my life but then I came across a betting website and that all changed. I have learnt a vast amount over the last 5 years, I used to believe I could pick the winner in every race before I realised I could not and began selective betting which is the only way forward. I mainly stick with the horses but do occasionally stray off to bet on the footie or speedway. I am now 35 years old, born and bred in Ipswich and still here and forever a Tractorboy, work part time for a Cash & Carry and have a dog named Dave! That’s about it from me.
