Nordea Masters & The Memorial Tournament Hofmans Golf Picks
Format change for my Golf Picks. Time is going be more limited and cycling is my focus. I still will be keenly following the golf so the blog will just be a little more brief and to the point so for now I will combine both events.
Nordea Masters Golf Picks:
Good event hosted on a new course this year. Can be windy, plays long but very wide fairways. Good Iron play to tight greens rewarded as will big hitting.
Felipe Aguilar 66/1 betvictor – Denied Hanson already this year with late eagle at Laguna and has a very good game tee to green. Getting plenty results and too big a price to ignore here.
Alvairo Quiros 60/1 betvictor – Coming to life again this season and one of the biggest hitter on the European Tour. A repeat of China Open effort would see him go close.
Chris Wood 40/1 betvictor – Mentioned before as always for his great wind play. Has enough length off the tee that he could like this course.
Andy Sullivan 80/1 skybet – Long enough off the tee, and has been popping up in results from time to time so worth of a smaller investment this week
Julien Quesne 80/1 betvictor – Comes off a missed cut at the BMW. Has course form here as a winner on this course on the challenge tour.A smaller play like Andy this week.
The Memorial Tournament Golf Picks:
Strong event, played at Muirfield as always so plenty to go on for course form. Wide fairways but if rough is found it can be tricky. Testing greens and plenty sand and water to avoid. A real test which means a class act usually wins.
6 places with paddy power this week and Betfair sports book.
Jason Dufner 45/1 paddy power- Great tee to green player often let down by his putter. Was very solid last week and worth notinh how well he did in presidents cup here last October
Bill Haas 55/1 paddy power- Has a few PGA wins and has previous on Nicklaus designed courses. Father did well here so he would have it in mind to go well here too after a 4th last year he could improve again.
Dustin Johnson 25/1 paddy power – A top 5 here back in 2011. Drives it miles if a little inaccurate at times but seems to be finding the greens well too. A back to lay for sure and good in contention record.
Bubba Watson 28/1 Betfair – This venue could really suit his game and we know how long he can be of the tee. He has won twice this year including at Augusta. Hasn’t clicked at this course but this might be the time.
