Nottingham Conditions Stakes – Race Of The Day (Tue 12th August)

7.25 Nottingham – Nottingham Conditions Stakes

The Race Of The Day is based on the most valuable race from Today’s Horse Racing Meetings and we deliver Horse Racing Tips from each blogger to see if we can come to an agreement on a selection. The statistics for today’s Race Of The Day can be seen below, apart from Overall, Month and Day all data supplied is based on either flat or jumps racing depending on the daily race, all odds are based on SP.

We have a new selection process for our bloggers, instead of relying on someone to add the selections we now have an automatic process in which when a blogger has a selection he/she can now add it to the post themselves which means you get the selections as they are ready, this means that the post is now put up without any selections in order for it to be available for the bloggers to add them.

Also because there is not always someone around to edit the post with the selections we will now leave this up to you to work out, it is simple enough, when the stated closing time has passed then you can decided whether there is a bet or not, each runner will have the number of selections next to it and for each pick it is clear then that is a 1pt stake, so a runner with 3 picks and then two runners with 1 pick apiece would be a 2pt win, if there is not outright pick then it is deemed a No Bet. We advised all bets of £10 per tip clear, so a 2pt win would be a £20 win.

2013 Nottingham Conditions Stakes: Not Covered

Tips Entry for SBB Bloggers closes at 2.00pm

Zipster – Green Door (1 Picks)

The two which interested me were the two 3yo runners Green Door and Strategical but they will have to break the trends here as since 2004 there has not been a single 3yo winner with the exception of Mystical Land who was disqualified for a banned substance. Strategical had a very good 2yo campaign but has struggled in two starts this year whilst Green Door has spent the past year running against much better opposition than he faces here and we have to remember that he was a G2 winner last year.

Tricky one but I am going with Green Door who has already proven he goes on this ground and has beaten better than what he faces here today and although having to give weight away all round he may well prove too good for these.

Gecko – Graphic Guest (1 Picks)

Really hard to pick between Graphic Guest, Strategical and Green Door

Strategical is in my mind but nagging doubts remain – perhaps Graphic Guest can rediscover her winning form after no success last year; the 4 yr old will enjoy the ground hugely and being off such a light weight may account for the above named pair

Others could also have a say and Duke of F and Speed Hawk will have support – the selection though looks to be the pick based on this trip and the likely GS going, and should relish this slightly easier race than some recent ones she’s been involved in

Ramsey Deadman – Speed Hawk (1 Picks)

Duke of Firenze is as good if not better than any of these but has never show a willingness to provide a seasonal debut performance, or at least a winning one. After a year off the track I am wary of him but not confident enough to throw cash at him. He is one of four representatives from the Cowell yard, all of whom have some good form in the book but it is with SPEED HAWK I would have to side today. One of only three 3yos in the field he is going the right way and more improvement in this conditions stakes can reasonable be expected

About Author

I have been in the betting game for getting on 10 years now, I was a late comer in the betting scene, never really showed much interest in the first 20 years of my life but then I came across a betting website and that all changed. I have learnt a vast amount over the last 5 years, I used to believe I could pick the winner in every race before I realised I could not and began selective betting which is the only way forward. I mainly stick with the horses but do occasionally stray off to bet on the footie or speedway. I am now 35 years old, born and bred in Ipswich and still here and forever a Tractorboy, work part time for a Cash & Carry and have a dog named Dave! That’s about it from me.
