AFL – Week 21 Free Tips, Preview

Getting to the sharp end of the season now and the battles are harder whilst the form is less predictable – makes tipping hard work!

Anyway, plenty of defeats recently for the big guns and with some of the lower-ranked teams impressing in recent weeks, then there could be some more surprises due

Ladder >

Week 21 Fixtures >

Hawthorn Hawks v Collingwood Magpies
Richmond Tigers v Carlton Blues
Port Adelaide Power v Gold Coast Suns
Essendon Bombers v North Melbourne Kangaroos
West Coast Eagles v Geelong Cats
Brisbane Lions v GWS Giants
Melbourne Demons v Fremantle Dockers
Sydney Swans v St Kilda Saints
Western Bulldogs v Adelaide Crows

Hawks Pies is a cracking match-up as Hawks have stuttered a bit whilst Pies have found their form big-time in recent weeks – they are making a late run at the top 4 and could be a really good bet for the Grand Final as they are now producing what they have been capable of but not doing for a long time; their road form is excellent
Tigers should see off a disappointing Blues
Power Suns may be a really good open game with both potentially capable of winning well; the edge should be with the Power
Roos are quite a low price to win at the under-siege Bombers but with Essendon’s recent two spankings in mind, this is probably justified
Eagles Cats is hard to call, the hosts have improved recently whilst Geelong are either superb or average it seems
Lions should see off Giants who did manage to win their first game two weeks ago!
Dockers to win in Melbourne and Swans to easily brush off Saints look obvious calls but no value in those at all
Bulldogs have been strong recently and can nick a win against the mis-firing Crows – Adelaide did well last week to beat the Roos but have been inconsistent and may struggle here to hold the resurgent Doggies

Pies +11.5pts (betfair) at 2.0 may be a good call – Hawks are a super side but the pies current form is really strong and this should be a close game
Bulldogs are 2.16 (betfair) to beat the Crows and that is tempting

Freo are just 1.04 to win at the Demons but with Melbourne starting recent games well before capitulating, there may be some value in laying Dockers and then backing them around the 1st quarter mark perhaps
