John Smith’s Grand National 2013

How do I find the Winner of the John Smith’s Grand National 2013?

There are a huge number of ways punters will go about finding the winner of the Grand National 2013. Form gurus will be pouring over the form book to find relevant runs, conditions, previous course form, ratings from the Racing Post, Timeform or even their own private handicapping. But in the race that sees more people betting on the event than any other in the horse racing year, more simplistic techniques are often employed to search out potential winners of the most famous Steeple Chase of them all.

In this section, we will refer back to some of the trends outlines in the Trends section (click here to visit if you want), and offer some short-lists based on what we feel are the most critical elements, we, as punters should be looking for.

Grand National Stamina:

We of course want a runner on our side that has the stamina to last out the gruelling four and half mile trip around the Aintree course. We have to go back to Gay Trip to find the last winner of the Grand National that had not previously won a chase over 3miles in distance.
