Vuelta A Espana Tips
King of Mountains jersey
So Lets first look at the king of the mountains jersey with so many uphill finishes and climb its likely the winner will also be doing very well in the overall race as well. Firstly I will play all my outright picks to do well in this market. Scarponi is my pick to maybe have a big few days but not have enough in overall race.

.1pts Majka 40/1 various
.2pts J.Rodriguez 11/2 888sport
.1pts Scarponi 66/1 betvictor
With so many hill finishes and the points been even for every day its highly unlikely a sprinter will get near the green jersey this year. I just don’t see an angle at present that offer big value so just a small bet on great finisher J.Rodriguez.
J.Rodriguez 9/4 various
This is always an interesting contest and Movistar and Astana always stand out for me, it could well be worth taking on the market who have Saxo Bank as favourites with Euskatel. Cases can be made for Katusha, Sky, Ag2r and Radioshack being a big price and I may well add them before the start. Nibali leads the Astana team but their line up looks really strong with Brajkovic, Fuglsang, Grivko, Iglinskiy, Kangert, Nibali, Tiralongo, Vanotti, Zeits.
.25pts Astana 4/1 various
Top 10 Market
Well Arroyo as i mentioned above looks really good value in the markets and unlike most the riders who come here his primary target has been to come here. I really liked Majka as mentioned before and may well handle the buzz of a second grand tour under his belt. Horner is finally back on big stage and at 17/10 I will nibble that he can get himself involved.

2pts Majka 3/4 bet365
.25pts Horner 17/10 paddypower
The Match Bets
Eros Capecchi while not leading his team will be one of strongest supporters for Valverde in the mountains. Kiserlovski produced in the Tour but still tailed off it would be huge if he managed a repeat here again.
A good price on Arroyo and like Fugslang in the Tour I am very confident he can put himself in the top 10 at the very least should he avoid any mishaps. Horner is in his 40s now he does present a threat but surely no one at his age and with his recent trouble with injury can beat a man focused on this Vuelta as a target all year. Arroyo looked like he might have even cracked a Tour 2nd in Quintana last week.
Kangert proved how strong he could be in the Giro, he rode well when Nibali would go it alone and it was a debut their that lived up to his much hyped potential for this season. Landa is good but he has bad days and surely he doesn’t match how good Kangert can be.
Konig is a very good rider, more than capable of holding himself with the big names. He climbs well and has bit orum in long tours. CAS is not in same league and even team leadership is up in the air.
