Football: 12th January Accumulator

Back to a full league programme today. Remember these are single selections from different tipsters looking at different ways of finding a winner and not one of the shots will be below 1.5 in price, so you will get a bigger price for your accumulator. It would be easy to put up some low prices that everyone could pick blind but we are looking to be a little different.

Everyone can find a winner in a weekend on the football coupons but that elusive 5 or 6 results for an accumulator and big pay day always has the one that lets you down.

The SBB team will each put up 1 selection per week on the football although not below 1.5 in price and we will see if 5 or 6 minds, looking at different ways of selecting a result could pay dividends.

This accumulator is deemed complete at time of posting.

Bournemouth v Swindon – Home win
Probably the game of the day in League one. Swindon have scored 14 goals without return at home in their last three matches at the County Ground, home form very reliable, Away they’ve not fared too badly either, but Bournemouth are very much on a roll, topping the 8 game form table, and only finding Brentford scoring a point more from home games this season in the third division. Hence the price on the home win here is tasty at around 6/4 and if coming off would be a nice boost to the acca.

Bristol City v Leicester City – Away Win
If we take the last 6 games of each team we can see Leicester have won twice against 12th and 17th. Drawn against 2nd and 24th whilst losing to 1st and 7th. Bristol City have won twice against 22nd and 24th. Drawn against 19th and lost to 7th, 10th and 18th. For me Leicester simply have stronger form and are playing a lot better. Should be well up to winning against a poor Bristol side.

Villa v Southampton-  BTTS
Both teams should view this as winnable and with both having poor defences, I can see goals in either net here. Soton drew 3-3 at Stoke and scored 3 at QPR whilst although Villa have failed to score in 4 of their last 5 home lge games, they did manage 2 at Swansea last match and have had over 2.5 in their last 8 games. This is a game they really should and have to score in and with both defences being weak, it could be another goalfest.

Man Utd v Liverpool – Home win
I seem to be missing something here. Liverpool have not beaten Man utd at old trafford since 2009 and then before that ins 2004. Of the last H2H’s at Old Trafford there have been no draws, 2 wins to Liverpool and 9 wins for United. Liverpool may have been in a little better for of late but their wins have been over QPR, Fulham, West ham, Southampton and Sunderland while getting beat by Villa and Stoke. The near evens here is just wrong.

About Author

Hi I am 42 and have been sports betting seriously for the last 4-5 years. My main areas are Rugby Union where I have played a decent level in both England and Wales and also Cricket where I did the same. I like my horses too but really limit myself to the sprints up to a mile in the summer and then the longer distances over fences in the winter with some AW action as well in the colder months.
