Premier League Table >

EPL 19 Dec

Current form shows the Manchester clubs flying whilst Southampton have hit a brick wall

Profit for the season is now +2.45pts LSP so just in profit, need a good Xmas period!

City v Palace > .there will be some who like the 31% return if they back City at 1.31 but that really is short – Palace can’t find many wins but did win at Everton, drew at Spurs and lost by a goal at Utd so they are no pushovers. Under 2.5 goals at 2.3 looks a nice price as a 1 or 2-0 home win my be enough

Villa v Utd > Utd are flying although not playing superbly, picking up results however which is the trick – Villa have improved and will look to stop the run of Utd wins in this H2H as Utd have won the last 7 league games and scored 21 in that period. I think Villa may well manage to nick a goal but can they stop the confident visitors who are capable of scoring 2 or 3

Hull v Swansea > Swansea were unlucky to lose to Spurs last week and have a big threat in Bony whilst Hull are trying to scrap a win anywhere – Hull have 1 win in 15 (all comps) whilst the Swans have just 4 wins in 15. Neither look top bets and a draw may be the outcome, perhaps 1-1

QPR v WBA > QPR need the home wins they manage to get occasionally and the Baggies need to stop a poor run although they did grab a much-needed win last week. Rangers have scored at least twice in their last 6 home league games so they will be confident of scoring and just a goal may be enough to nick the points as 1-0 looks sensible here

Southampton v Everton > Saints have really watched the wheels fall off as they have stopped scoring and have lost 5 on the bounce in all comps – their last 2 home lge defeats were the Manchester clubs however so all is not doom and gloom; Everton aren’t picking up wins away from home either too often so this looks like a fairly good draw call and a possible 0-0 for me

Spurs v Burnley > Burnley are in a good run and have picked up some valuable wins recently which makes them harder opposition that many will think glancing at this and seeing Spurs 4-0 midweek Cup win – Spurs should and really have to start winning these type of games as they aren’t picking any points up off the top teams. That midweek confidence booster may well give Spurs the edge here and 2 or 3-1 is my prediction

West Ham v Leicester > West Ham are enjoying a good run of fixtures and form and should pick up more points here – it will go wrong soon for them I feel but they can probably pinch a 2-1 although Leicester will also turn a corner soon and this could be a surprise draw. BTTS may be worth checking as Leicester have scoredin their last 2 aways

Newcastle v Sunderland > form out of the window here so I wouldn’t be too shocked at Sunderland nicking a win; they have won here 3-0 the past two seasons but currently they look to be keeping it tight away from home whilst the hosts have had some fairly low-scoring homes recently too. Off the back of 2 4 goal defeats to the North London clubs, I can see a draw here or a possible surprise away win, maybe 0-1

Liverpool v Arsenal > Arsenal will fancy their chances against a Liverpool team bereft of attacking prowess these days and struggling to recapture last season’s dynamism – Arsenal are also off the back of a couple of good wins (both 4-1) after they struggled at Stoke. Liverpool have scored just twice in their last 4 homes, could this be the day Balotelli gets it together and scores? Arsenal have lost 3 of their last 5 away and will be keen to avoid another defeat – all points to a fascinating game and it could be any result so an avoid for betting. I would plump for an entertaining 2-2 if pushed

Stoke v Chelsea > Stoke have managed the odd good result this season (beating City away and Arsenal at home) and Chelsea have wobbled a bit with a rare recent defeat but you would expect them to do enough to win this, maybe just by a goal but every now and again they turn it on and click so a 4-0 away win wouldn’t shock me either here

Advised Bets >

Sunderland @ 4.1

Newcastle v Sunderland Under 2.5 @ 1.79

Chelsea -1 AH @ 2.17

Hull v Swansea Draw @ 3.35

Southampton v Everton Draw @ 3.55. HT draw @2.24

QPR win @ 2.46

City Palace under 2.5 @ 2.3

Villa v Utd BTTS @ 2.04, Over 2.5 @ 2.0

  1. Got Saints all wrong, bit unlucky with a couple but did ok with picking Sunderland at decent odds

Also mentioned Sunderland 1-0, Liverpool 2-2 so correct score backers would have done well if following those!

Chelsea to come still but a small profit again this week it seems
