Quick update on the profit/loss:

It was +5.01 pts up to Xmas, then lost 1.12 on that week, lost 5.63 on 17th Jan weekend, lost 6.78 on 31st Jan, won 5.23 on 7th Feb, lost 0.38 pts on 7th Feb weekend, won 1.06 on 28th Feb, won 3.58 on 14th Mar weekend and won 5.05 pts last week – making a running total of +6.02 pts LSP for the season!

Not great but a profit nonetheless and I’m keen to make a profit as I have for the past 5 years on the PL

Swansea v Everton > the early KO sees the Toffees visit South Wales – their away from has been poor generally but they are on a roll at the moment having won their last 3 games (two at home). Swansea often concede at home and win the odd good game (v Utd recently) but also lose a few so it’s hard to judge this one and a draw looks likely to me

Southampton v Hull > the Saints face a poor Hull team and should really manage to win without too much trouble 2-0 looks obvious but we are now into April and the bottom sides usually start fighting and getting results their form doesn’t indicate. Both have a lot of unders respectively so Under 2.5 looks the call, with a narrow home win but not a strong tip as Hull could pull off a surprise draw here

Sunderland v Palace > Sunderland are really struggling whilst Palace are flying up the table (relatively) – CP have won 4 of their last 5 away and are winning at struggling sides so should continue that form here but Sunderland did manage to pick off Newcastle last home game. Yet another draw for me as the hosts battle hard to stop Pardew picking up 3 more points with his confident charges

Spurs v Villa > Spurs have been pretty woeful in recent weeks and will have to up their game here as Sherwood’s team come to town looking to gain 3 pts and maybe make a statement too. They have bounced under Sherwood and won 4-0 away recently which was impressive. Spurs are unbeaten in 10 at home in the league and that includes beating Chelsea and Arsenal but concede way too often. They also have no Lloris and Walker (blessing in disguise given his recent form) and are struggling for form so Villa have a chance. Expect goals although I said that last week and Spurs drew 0-0 at Burnley to my shock! I fancy a 2-2 here

WBA v Leicester > big Midlands battle here and Leicester are in good form (relatively). WBA got turned over by QPR last home game so will be keen to get back to their previous good form. A draw for me as neither manage to control the game, 1-1

West Ham v Stoke > Stoke are no pushovers and will make life tricky for the Hammers; they did ok at Chelsea and can handle the tough stuff so it will not be pretty but I expect a sneaky 2-1 for the visitors. Not a strong shout so perhaps on the handicap is the way to go

Burnley v Arsenal > Burnley have done well against some top teams and should have picked off a poor Spurs last week – they may have trouble here though as Arsenal are flying and if they take this seriously and handle the tough Burnley tackling then they could romp this 4-0 or so. Arsenal have won 10 out of 11 in the PL while Burnley have scored just once in their last 5 (although it was enough to beat City!)

QPR v Chelsea > the likely League Champions face a short trip to Rangers – QPR have impressed and shocked by scoring 4 and 3 away from home in the past week but it’s hard to see them picking  off Chelsea

Utd v City > a massive match anyway but more so now City have dropped back into 4th place;Utd will be confident and looking to continue their winning ways but I think City will step up for this and have this as a draw or a possible City win. Utd are much improved but I still wonder about their defence and if City keep Rooney quiet, then they have the skills to notch a couple and sneak it by a goal. Could be any score really but a 1-1 is the most logical for me

Liverpool v Newcastle > the old 4-3 game pops up again; doubt we will have 7 goals but can see a few as Liverpool look to get back to winning games, maybe 3-1 as they will be pleased to have seen off Blackburn in the Cup midweek and may enjoy playing Newcastle who are tailing off in mid-table

Advised Bets >

Villa +0.5 AH @ 2.56

Southampton v Hull Under 2.5 @ 1.76

Utd v City Draw @ 3.45
