jaydubs sprints evening meetings 18 July 2014

Hopefully the afternoon meetings may give us a winner or 2 but there are some more good sprints in the evening.

1920 Newmarket – Strategical @7/4

Strategical was slow away in the listed race at Sandown on its reappearance and never was able to land a blow but this smaller field presents a good opportunity to get back to winning ways. Tangerine Trees continues to drop in the ratings but still doesn’t look like regaining its form of 2011, while Move in time may want a little rain to fall to help its chances.

1950 Newmarket – Diamond lady @7/1

Ryan Moore takes over on Tychaios after it finished last lto in an apprentice race and may be capable of better but Diamond Lady looks to be the one to beat for me. The ease in class saw it win lto after a run of poor results
and that win looks pretty good with Lady Horatia 2nd nto and 4th and 6th winning nto. The 3lb raise should not be enough to hold it here.

2055 Newmarket – Lunette @6/1

Lunette has not been out of the places over 7f with 2 wins on today’s ground and 2 places on the AW at Kempton. Its reappearance was over 8f running well before tiring 1f out and after that run this drop back to 7f combined with the cobwebs being blown off stand it in very good stead. Botanist looks to need a mile or a softer ground 7, while Athletic also wants it a bit softer. Until Midnight looks more at home on the AW and Charter’s races read that it keeps having every chance but doesn’t want to fight for the win.

1940 Hamilton – Spinatrix @18/1

The Scottish Stewards cup tonight looks a fairly decent race with some lurkers possibly in lower down the weights. I like the look of Spinatrix though. Hamilton does favour prominent horses and although the ground would be against it at the moment the current forecast is for 3-4 hours of rains and storms this afternoon. If that does come then the 18/1 BV are offering on this could look very big for a horse that likes it softer. I am happy to gamble on the weather as this could be as short as 7-8’s if it does rain hard.

Nothing really at Pontefract but will have to give Another Wise Kid another go in the 5f sprint and Makin the Rules looks the to have more in the last.

Hope we have a good day today…

Hi I am 42 and have been sports betting seriously for the last 4-5 years. My main areas are Rugby Union where I have played a decent level in both England and Wales and also Cricket where I did the same. I like my horses too but really limit myself to the sprints up to a mile in the summer and then the longer distances over fences in the winter with some AW action as well in the colder months.
