Puerto Rico Open Picks

Puerto Rico Open

While the big boys play at the WGC some of the lesser lights of the PGA tour will fight it out at the interesting Puerto Rico Open. An event that gives a chance to any wannabe first time time winners who can show the nerve to hold on. The 7th editions of this and another Trump owned resort.

Course is quiet long but it has not been proven about been all about distance off the tee. Course form or form at CIMB  or OHL have proved very useful.  Winning here ensures a two year card so its not to be sniffed at even if the best won’t be around this week.

For this week it will be three obvious picks who I can’t ignore for the Puerto Rico Open. I may add one or two if I read anything else of note but these three should provide a solid standing for us.

Puerto Rico Open Picks

Brian Stuard 25/1 ladbrokes – 4th here last year.  has three recent top 6 finishes to his name. Solid at the Honda Classic and now finds his level back here. Game in solid shape for improvement in a weaker field.

Andres Romero 35/1 bet365 – 20th and 6th his attempts here. Really impressive 12th in the Honda Classic an event he has often struggled with puts him up their form wise. Sole PGA tour win came back in 2008.

Robert Karlsson 45/1 bet365- 8th on his debut this year in Abu Dhabi. And had a good top 10 in the OHL Classic this year.  His second attempt at this course.
